Privacy is what we build. This policy explains what information Klok LLC (“Klōk,” “we,” “us”) collects through klok.global (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the Site only. Information processed by Klōk devices and services is governed by your customer agreement and related product documentation.
1. Our approach
We collect as little personal information as we need, we do not sell it, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: when you contact us, request a briefing or ask for support — for example your name, organization, job title, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
- Information collected automatically: basic technical data such as browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, and approximate location derived from IP address. This is collected through server logs and privacy-respecting analytics provided by our website host.
- Cookies: the Site uses only cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to function and to measure aggregate traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
- Downloads: whitepapers are available without registration. We may log that a file was downloaded, but not who downloaded it.
3. How we use information
- to respond to your inquiries and provide requested information or briefings;
- to operate, secure and improve the Site;
- to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
- to comply with legal obligations; and
- with your consent, to send you updates about Klōk. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who host the Site, provide email and analytics, or otherwise help us operate, under contracts that restrict their use of the data;
- with authorized Klōk resellers or partners when you ask to be connected with them;
- when required by law, legal process or a valid government request, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Klōk, our users or others; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the EU/UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. To make a request, email privacy@klok.global. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we may need to verify your identity before responding.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States, and information may be processed there. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers.
9. Children
The Site is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
